Dr. Pradeep Pendse, BE, MMS, PhD (University of Mumbai), has over 30 years in academics, 11 years in industry, and a decade of consulting experience. He serves as Dean–General Management & CTO at Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management (Weschool), where he pioneered programs in e-Business, Business Design, and Analytics.

A mentor to startups and advisor to enterprises on digital transformation and IT leadership, he also holds key roles in professional bodies including Founder & Hon. A senior executive, board member, and mentor with over 50 years of multifaceted leadership experience, bringing together corporate governance, large-scale business transformation, and academic mentorship. Currently focused on roles as an Independent Director, Strategic Advisor, and Mentor, offering seasoned perspectives to boards, high-growth companies, and startups.

Most recently served as Public Interest Director (Independent Director) at The Clearing Corporation of Bombay Stock Exchange (ICCL) (Oct 2022 – Oct 2025), where he chaired key committees including the Standing Committee on Technology and Nomination & Remuneration Committee, and actively contributed to Risk and Audit oversight. He led leadership succession initiatives and championed the adoption of AI and Robotic Process Automation, strengthening governance, resilience, and operational efficiency. His board experience also includes roles with a listed company and a technology startup.

Previously, as Director General of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he restored financial stability and revitalized the institution’s brand and stakeholder engagement. His corporate career spans leadership roles within the Tata Group, including CIO, Tata Chemicals, driving enterprise-wide digital transformation, and Vice President – New Business Initiatives, leading a biofuels SBU and a $250 million cross-border agri-project in Mozambique. Earlier roles at Rallis India and Eureka Forbes involved IT transformation, M&A integration, and strategic business leadership.

Deeply committed to talent development, he is an Adjunct and Visiting Faculty at NMIMS University, teaching Technology Applications for Business and Business Analytics, and serves on the Academic Council of Presidency University, Bangalore. He has also been a Board of Governors member at NITTTR (Government of India) and mentors MSMEs under projects sponsored by the Asian Development Bank and the UK Government. He holds a B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) from IIT Bombay, PGDM from IIM Bangalore, and is a Company Secretary (ICSI) and a certified mediator.
